Fr. Jesus Hernandez Gonzalez was born in Guanajuato, Mexico. He is 33 years old and is the youngest of two. He comes from a devout Catholic Family of farmers and musicians. He loves music, food, traveling, and reading.
He was ordained priest in 2018 by Bishop Jaime Soto for the service of the Diocese of Sacramento. His previous assignment was at Holy Trinity Parish in El Dorado Hills, CA, and prior to that he spent 10 years in seminary formation, both in Mexico and here in United States.
He earned his B.A. degree in Philosophy from the Catholic University Lumen Gentium in Mexico City and The Hispanic Seminary of Our Lady of Guadalupe, and completed his Theological formation and training at St. Patrick’s Seminary and University in Menlo Park, CA, where he earned his M.Div., M.A., and STB degrees.
Fr. Hernandez is very grateful to God for this new adventure in his priestly ministry and is looking forward to meet and serve personally the faithful of St. Joseph Parish and the Missions of St. Boniface and St. Daniel.
